Suggestions Chevron Down Chevron Forward
Growing Suggestions:
  • Brussels sprouts form tall plants and should be grown in a sheltered spot protected from strong winds. They may require staking to prevent the tall, top-heavy stalks from tipping over.
  • They dislike hot weather and must have consistent moisture.
  • Heads are ready to harvest when they are firm and 2.5-5 cm (1 to 2") in diameter. Each plant yields between 60 and 100 sprouts.
  • Harvest the sprouts from the bottom of the stalk up. Harvest by hand or use a knife or pruners.
  • The sprouts will have a sweeter flavour after a Fall frost.
