Elevate your garden with our Columbine, Blue Star Seeds.
These columbine seeds produce beautiful, deep blue, star-shaped flowers in your garden. Long stemmed, pastel blue and white flowers with attractive mounds of airy, fern-like foliage add a touch of elegance to any garden. Perfect for beds, borders, rock gardens, and as cut flowers!
Start Columbine seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost in your area. Follow the seed depth and spacing guidelines indicated below. Once all danger of frost has passed, seedlings should be hardened off before planting into their growing location. Seedlings should be transplanted according to the plant spacing directions below. Pick a location sheltered from the wind and receives at least 6 hours of sun per day. Regularly monitor your plants and ensure that the soil remains moist, but not soggy while they establish themselves in their new environment.

Columbine plants aren't too particular about soil as long it's well-draining and not too dry.
Regularly removing spent flowers, known as deadheading will promote continuous blooming and encourage the growth of fresh buds. This practice can extend the flowering period as long as 6 weeks into midsummer.
