Peaches and Cream Corn is a delicious bi-colored variety. Known for its sweetness and excellent eating properties, it is a perfect addition to the home garden. Be sure to separate from other varieties by 7.5 m (25') to maintain its unique characteristics.

Dill is believed to offer defence against aphids and mites. Beans can supply additional nitrogen to the corn. Sunflowers can serve as both a framework and a barrier against wind for the corn, and smaller varieties of sunflowers attract ladybugs that help control aphids. Pole beans are occasionally planted alongside corn to contribute nitrogen and provide structural support. Spinach thrives in the shade of corn, helping to keep the corn roots cool.
Corn does not transplant well and seeds should be sown directly into the garden when the soil is warm and all danger of frost is past into well-cultivated soil. Optimum soil temperature (not air temperature) should be 15-35°C (59-95°F) for seeds to germinate. Planting at a lower temperature will delay germination. Space seeds and plant to the depth indicated below. Press seeds into the soil to ensure good contact and cover with 5 cm (2 in.) of soil. After planting, water seeds with a gentle mist or shower. It is critical to keep the soil consistently moist, but not soggy during germination. When your seedlings reach a height of a few centimetres (inches) and have developed 2 or 3 pairs of leaves, it is important to thin them out, according to the plant spacing indicated below. Do not allow the soil to become dry, as young plants have underdeveloped roots and can quickly dehydrate, particularly in windy conditions. Once silk appears on cobs, keep soil moist, but not soaking wet, at all times.
