Pellets will fit the 36-pellet Jiffy Greenhouse. Peat pellets will expand with warm water to create the perfect home for seedling growth. These expanding peat pellets are perfect for seed starting. 

Each Box Contains:

Instructions Chevron Down Chevron Forward

Place pellets in watertight tray and add warm water. Drain excess water when pellets are 2.5-3.8 cm (1-1.5 in.) tall. Plant seeds according to package instructions. Water when pellets turn light brown. To harden off plants, place outside in shade for several days, gradually increasing time spent outside each day. To transplant, dig holes deep enough to cover top of pellets. Gently firm soil around pellet and water.

Good starter kit for your seeds.

"The peat pellets work well for starting your seeds, they give them a good head start , dependant on what your growing you may need a heat mat also . You also must keep an eye on the amount of water in the trays and not let the seed trays dry out . Also once the seeds have started sprouting the tops can be either removed or left ajar to let air in . The other advantage is once the plants are a descent size and ready for transplant the whole peat pot can be transplanted without disturbing the plants. Yes I would recommend."

I will always use Jiffy

"I will always use Jiffy brand from Mackenzie to start my seedlings - the pellets hold up the best by staying intact while watering. The seedlings have a higher germination rate with Jiffy. I've tried other brands to my dissatification - other brands are a poor quality of soil mix. Mackenzie also has a great price deal if you buy 5 or more! Definitely worth it!!!"
