Zebrina Malva is a magnificent perennial that bears gorgeous flowers. Flower spikes that can grow to 75 cm (30”) long are filled with 5 cm (2") lavender-striped blooms. Malva Zebrina is a dependable choice for mixed borders, cottage gardens, and naturalized plantings. These gorgeous flowers bloom all summer long.

Start Malva seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost in your area. Follow the seed depth and spacing guidelines indicated below. Once all danger of frost has passed, seedlings should be hardened off before planting into their growing location. Seedlings should be transplanted according to the plant spacing directions below. Pick a location sheltered from the wind and receives at least 6 hours of sun per day. Regularly monitor your plants and ensure that the soil remains moist, but not soggy while they establish themselves in their new environment.

"Mine grew with ease. Planted 12 seeds May 20th and they're doing pretty good even with scorching hot temperatures in low to mid 30's. Only planted 12 seeds and they all grew. They still have plenty of summer left to grow. The leaves appear a bit yellow in the pics but I assure you they're not. It's because of the yellowish flash on my camera. Some are lighter purple and some are brighter purple kind of pinkish. I'd suggest planting your seeds a bit further apart though possibly 15" - 18" apart. Mine were planted a foot apart and they're a little bunched up. 5 stars"
