Instructions
Growing Instructions:
Parsley root seeds can be sown directly in the garden in early Spring as soon as the soil can be worked. Space seeds and plant to the depth indicated below. Press seeds into the soil to ensure good contact and cover with 1.3 cm (1/2") of soil. After planting, water seeds with a gentle mist or shower. It is critical to keep the soil consistently moist, but not soggy during germination. When your seedlings reach a height of a few centimetres (inches) and have developed 2 or 3 pairs of leaves, it is important to thin them out, according to the plant spacing indicated below. Do not allow the soil to become dry, as young plants have underdeveloped roots and can quickly dehydrate, particularly in windy conditions.

Suggestions
Growing Suggestions:
As the seeds are slow to germinate, they can be cold-stratified to hasten germination. Cold-stratification is the process of exposing seeds to cold and moist conditions to encourage germination. Soak seeds for 1-2 hours in room temperature water. Moisten a paper towel (not soaking wet), and spread seeds out in a single layer on the paper towel. Wrap a dry paper towel around the damp paper towel to help keep things moist but not too wet (which could become moldy). Place in a plastic bag and seal. Place the bag in the refrigerator for 1 month before planting. If seedlings start to sprout in the bag in the refrigerator, remove them immediately and either plant in the ground or in pots until it’s time to plant outdoors.
Harvest the roots when they are 12–15 cm (5-6") long.
The leaves can be picked throughout the growing season and used like leaf parsley.
