Instructions Chevron Down Chevron Forward
  1. Prepare a sunny or partially shaded location in early spring (after the danger of frost has passed) or early summer.
  2. Clear the area to be planted. Loosen soil to a depth of 5 cm (2 in. in.) with a rake or hoe. Smooth soil surface by raking.
  3. Shake bag well before using.
  4. Evenly scatter the seed mixture over the prepared area.
  5. Lightly rake again to create a good seed/soil contact.
  6. Lightly water immediately after sowing using a fine spray. Avoid puddling.
  7. Keep seed bed moist until seedlings are well established
  8. Continue to water periodically as needed.
  • Planting Depth: 5 cm (2in.)
  • Seed Spacing: Broadcast - covers approximately 65m2 (700 ft2)
  • Instructions for Nutrient Care: Apply SUPERThrive once per week. Soak in solution of 1/4 tsp per gal for 15 min. or longer depending on size and type.

Mixing it up!

"The Hummingbird Mix was delivered quickly and arrived in good condition. I am excited to try it and looking forward to seeing all of the different varieties sprout and eventually bloom. I have to wait a bit to plant them still, as we're experiencing an atmospheric river and heavy rains. Don't want them to wash away!! Will update review when I can see some growth. The seeds being mixed with vermiculite should help with more even sowing and hopefully improve germination. Thanks!"
